Join fellow CFEA members in Oxford , Ohio for the annual Midyear Conference on Friday, November 19.
The day will consist of “Best Kept Secrets” from working professionals in writing, design, public relations and Web development. The conference is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity Headquarters located at 2 South Campus Avenue, Oxford, OH 45056-1872. For those wishing to arrive on Thursday evening and/or stay until Saturday morning, a few nearby hotels are listed. There are other events taking place in Oxford that weekend, please call immediately to make hotel reservations.
SPEAKERS
Brian Klems will be speaking about editing, proofreading and her perspectives on writing.
Brian A. Klems is associate editor of Writer's Digest magazine and executive editor of Scriptwriting Basics, Yearbook Extra and The Year's Best Writing. He received his B.S. in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and has held editorial positions with Sporting Goods Business and Health & Fitness Business in New York City, and spent two years with Supply House Times magazine in Chicago. He took over as associate editor of WD in the fall of 2003 in Cincinnati.
Michael Mattingly , Art Director, University Communications at Miami University, will be speaking on design and technology.
Rob Pasquinucci, former CFEAer, will cover PR as it relates to the internet and Web sites.
Rob Pasquinucci is the former editor of The Scroll of Phi Delta Theta and has 10 years of experience in public relations and journalism. He currently works at Northlich, Cincinnati's largest public relations, marketing and advertising agency. He helps clients maintain their brand through public relations and marketing efforts. He also is a general officer for Phi Delta Theta and recently won CFEA recognition for an article on turning 21 and alcohol use.
