Regular membership in CFEA is held by any fraternal organization
that operates student chapters at colleges and universities (general,
professional or honor society).
Each organization's membership provides for two individual representatives,
usually the Director of Communications and the Executive Director.
Each organization is allowed one vote during meetings.
Regular members pay annual dues of $55 per organization. Additional
staff or volunteers may be listed as members of CFEA for $10.00
each.
Interfraternal organizations may, by approval of the Board
of Directors, be granted affiliate membership in CFEA. Affiliate
members receive all the benefits of membership except for voting
privileges and holding office.
Membership is held by the respective organization rather than by
individuals. No membership fees are assessed. One representative
of the organization may participate in the annual conference with
the registration fee waived. Other representatives are asked to
pay a nominal registration fee.
Commercial suppliers, vendors and others with a genuine interest
in the fraternity publishing industry may, by approval of the Board
of Directors, be granted associate membership in CFEA.
Associate members receive all the benefits of membership except
for voting privileges and holding office. They usually take an active
role in CFEA. Membership is held by respective organizations rather
than by individuals. Depending on associate membership and sponsorship
levels, more than one individual from a firm may serve as official
representatives.
The Board
of Directors determines the dues for associate members and the
fees for sponsorship opportunities.
Associate members are sponsors and are encouraged to participate
in the CFEA
Annual Conference. There are sponsorship requirements for associate
member attendance. For specific information about associate membership
and sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Sponsor
Chairman.
Honorary membership is based on selection by the Board
of Directors for outstanding service to CFEA. Individuals so
selected have all the rights of membership, except voting and holding
office.
