Serving on a Committee

Q:

Why should I serve on a CFEA committee?

A:

Since CFEA is an entirely volunteer driven organization, most of the work that CFEA accomplishes begins at the committee level. Serving on one of our many committees gives you a chance to get more involved, provides members with a better understanding of what's happening and gives you an opportunity to help shape the direction of the organization.

Q:

How can I get involved in CFEA by serving on a committee?

A:

To serve on a committee, simply fill out the form below and indicate what committee(s) you might be interested in serving on. Our President-Elect and Committee Chair will be in touch with you about the committee's goals and action plans for the year and how you can help. If the committee is full, the President-Elect might suggest a committee where there's more of a need for assistance.

Q:

Am I required to attend the Annual Conference, any board meetings or the Midyear Conference if I serve on a committee?

A:

No, your attendance at these events are not required to serve on a committee. However, we do strongly encourage committee members to attend the Annual Conference, particularly the committee breakfast where each committee develops its goals and action plans for the next year.

Use this form to get started on one of CFEA's committees today.
