Taking on the additional responsibility of being a committee chair opens up many doors for future leadership in CFEA and helps you gain some great leadership opportunities. Ultimately, serving as a committee chair gives you a chance to take more ownership in our association and make a real difference in the success of CFEA.

How can I become a committee chairperson in CFEA?

Committee chairs are appointed by the President-Elect at the Annual Meeting, immediately before his term as President begins. To indicate your interest in serving as a committee chair, fill out the form below and indicate what committee(s) you might be interested in chairing. This will help our President-Elect decide who to appoint to the chair positions.

Q:

Am I required to attend the annual meeting, any board meetings or the regional conference if I serve as a committee chairperson?

A:

We do expect committee chairpersons to attend the annual meeting and provide a report of the committee at our business meeting. Committee chairs are also required to submit committee progress reports throughout the year. Committee chairs aren't required to attend the regional conference or the board meetings.
